1956 CJ5 Jeep Restoration: Dash Build

In this video, I’m starting a new Jeep project by using up leftover parts from my last build and turning them into a county road cruiser–style Jeep. The goal isn’t a perfect restoration or a hardcore rock crawler—just a simple, usable Jeep that’s fun to drive and makes sense for back roads and cruising around. This build is a mix of parts, featuring a 1956 CJ-5 tub paired with a 1974 front clip, proving you don’t need all brand-new components to put together something cool and functional. Today’s focus is on building the dashboard—mocking things up, fabricating parts, and figuring out what works as I go. I’m not an expert, just curious and willing to learn along the way, and this project is all about making do with what I have and enjoying the process. Coming soon, I’ll have videos installing a front-mounted hitch receiver, lengthening the steering shaft, building fenders, and much more.
