His distinguished career spans leading organizations such as Reliance Brands Limited, Mahindra Logistics Limited, The Tata Power Company Limited, Reliance Industries Limited, Coastal Energy Private Limited, SARA Logistics Services Private Limited, and Pantaloon Retail India Limited, reflecting his ability to excel across diverse industries. Currently, as General Manager – EXIM at Reliance Brands Limited, he oversees EXIM operations and regulatory compliance for a portfolio of over 80 global brands. He manages nearly 2,000 shipments annually from across the world, ensuring timely availability, strict budget adherence, SVB compliance, and meticulous handling of customs-related matters. He has also successfully set up Duty-Free store operations for renowned brands including Michael Kors, Bally, and Coach. Earlier, as DGM – Transportation and Operations at Mahindra Logistics Limited, Vaidhyanathan headed Bulk Vertical Operations, finalized transportation rates for varied products across India, managed key accounts such as JSW Steel, and led a team of 40 professionals. As Group Head – Corporate Logistics at The Tata Power Company Limited, he efficiently managed contracts with multiple service providers, renegotiated Charter Party Agreements, led the SANKALP initiative to optimize coal handling, and significantly reduced demurrage, generating substantial cost savings. He also served as mentor for Project Membangun in an Indonesian coal mine, training teams across mining, transportation, equipment fuel efficiency, and vessel loading, achieving annual savings of USD 5 million. Academically, he holds postgraduate diplomas in Marketing Management, Foreign Trade Management, and Systems Management, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, and is proficient in SAP, MS Office, and internet applications. His proven track record of cost optimization, strategic negotiations, team leadership, and continuous process improvement positions him as a valuable asset to growth-oriented organizations.
