About Silicon Valley Career Technical Education

We are a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) high school program offering 24 courses (17 of which are UC “a-g” approved) that prepare students for college and future careers. The program is FREE for qualified 11th & 12th grade students who are training for a specific career path. Students who enroll in the program must commit to the morning (7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.) or afternoon (12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.) session Monday - Friday. Bus transportation is provided from the student's home high school to SVCTE, and back to the home high school. Our daytime Career Technical Education classes are designed specifically for high school students; adults may register on a space-available basis, only. At SVCTE, students get excited about learning. They fit in because they are learning about a subject topic of their choice. Students at SVCTE improve their grade point averages, attendance, and earn certifications. 68% of its students go on to college because they found their passion. As a result of their training, these students make more money over their lifetime. Every student shines and is engaged, enjoys learning, and flourishes with recognition.
