To be able to diffrentiate between step up and step down transformers by looking at them Description: Transformers are found all around us. They are used to change voltages, if we increse the voltage we call them step up transformers and step down transformers if they reduce the voltage. In this video I outline the construction of them and what they are made up. I also outline how they work using magnetism and the generator effect. We also look at how to recognise if a transformer is a step up or step down just by looking at them.
