We don’t use punishment or fear when training - we want the dog to choose the right path but also need to setup the correct environment for the dog to have success and indeed learn positively from failure. Part of this is the human experience- learning and developing with other people also going through the process, each helping the others. Here we are playing the follow me game and are turning when the dog is looking away from us even for a split second. The vibrate collar is used at the same time as turning and then is followed with reward; be that food, touch and/or praise.
