2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." When we pray to the Lord, sometimes God doesn't give us the blessings or things that we prayed for automatically, and that's ok! God is not a genie, he's our Heavenly Father! Therefore, all things will be done and given to us though God's timing! When God holds back from giving us what we prayed for, it's not a bad thing. Sometimes, it means that we're still in a season of patience and growth with him. God isn't slow, he's just wanting us to wait for his perfect timing! Remember, Jesus taught us to be patient, so let's be patient with others and our Father in Heaven! One day, through God's timing, that prayer will be answered, and that door will be opened! Also, when we fall short of God's glory, which is daily, we must repent through our hearts and prayer. True repentance is turning away from our sins and making the changes that will lead us closer to Jesus. It won't be easy and it does involve some sacrifice, but remember, God is patient and loving. He will never condemn you for falling short.
