Exient Entertainment developed the Wii version. Hot PursuitPursuit is the sixteenth Need for Speed title and was released in November 2010, with digital distribution versions released within December 2010. The game serves as a revival of the Hot Pursuit name first used in 1998's Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.  Hot Pursuit's gameplay is set in the fictional Seacrest County, which is based on the American states of California, Oregon, and Washington. The game's online play is a key feature, allowing players to compete in additional game modes such as Hot Pursuit, Interceptor, and Race.
