Food communities (or LSPAs- Local Solidarity-based Partnerships for Agroecology) are increasingly recognised in the CEE region. These initiatives address food market failures: modern agriculture failed to provide a fair living to many farmers, just working conditions for workers, healthy food for consumers, and sustainability. Practitioners of these initiatives apply several innovative practices, such as farmer-to-farmer knowledge sharing and cooperation, new forms of contracting, marketing, and transparent communication. This webinar was organised in the frame of a VISEGRAD project, called VISEGRAD FOOD CIRCLE in partnership of Tudatos Vásárlók Egyesülete (TVE, Hungary), Fundacja EkoRozwoju (FER, Poland) and Združemie UTOPIA (Slovakia). Our cooperation aimed to develop and improve the up-scalability of Local Solidarity-based Partnerships for Agroecology (such as community supported agriculture, buying groups, cooperatives or even some farmers market). The presenters were: Marta Czaplicka from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences Poland - Community Supported Agriculture at a university. Experience from the field. Anna Payr, Community Supported Farm in Dunasziget, Hungary - What does Community Supported Agriculture give us as small-scale farmers? / dunaszigetizoldsegkozosseg Honza Tomesek: A practical school for future farmers in Czechia https://farmarskaskola.cz/ and -Bernadeta Gołębiowska from the Folks Ecological University/Poland - How do we train CSA advisers and organise meetings for organic farmers? @VisegradFund The project is co-financed by the Governments of the Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
