第10回目の今回は、伊勢街道松阪大橋からのスタートです。 元々今回は、別シリーズで進行中の伊勢本街道の続きを歩くつもりでしたが、近鉄電車が青山トンネルを出ると急に雲行きが悪くなったので、急遽変更してあを越え伊勢街道シリーズに切り替えました。 雨ですが折角の松阪と言うことで、伊勢街道を離れて市内を散策しました。 江戸時代、伊勢商人は大阪商人・近江商人とともに「日本三大商人」と呼ばれていました。伊勢商人のほとんどが松阪の商人でした。三井家・長谷川家・小津家・富山家・国分家・竹口家・竹川家などの豪商を輩出し、「越後屋」「伊勢屋」「丹波屋」といった屋号で江戸で店を連ね、江戸の町を席巻しました。そんな松阪商人の当時の家が残され、資料館として公開されています。 松阪城は、城内の建築物は明治10年の失火と明治14年までの破却によって失われ、石垣のみが残っていて、城址公園となっています。 御城番屋敷では、管理人さんに屋敷について過去の経緯を説明して頂きました。 伊勢街道へ戻って、垣鼻の東松阪駅への交差点まで歩きました。 #松阪大橋#旧小津清左衛門家#三井家発祥地##豪商ポケットパーク#旧長谷川治郎兵衛家#牛銀本店#松阪市立歴史民俗資料館#三重電気鉄道松阪線#松電#松阪城#御城番屋敷#和歌山街道基点#信楽寺#神戸神社#東松阪駅#餃子の王将 This is the 10th time we are doing this, and we will start from the Matsusaka Bridge on the Ise Kaido. Originally, we had planned to continue walking along the Ise Honkaido, which we are currently working on as part of a different series, but as the Kintetsu train exited the Aoyama Tunnel, the weather suddenly turned bad, so we quickly changed our plans and switched to the Ise Kaido series, crossing Ao. Although it was raining, we were in Matsusaka, so we decided to leave the Ise Kaido and take a stroll around the city. During the Edo period, Ise merchants, along with Osaka merchants and Omi merchants, were known as "Japan's three great merchants." Most of the Ise merchants were from Matsusaka. They produced wealthy merchants such as the Mitsui, Hasegawa, Ozu, Toyama, Kokubu, Takeguchi, and Takekawa families, and they dominated the city of Edo with stores under names such as "Echigoya," "Iseya," and "Tambaya." The homes of these Matsusaka merchants from that time remain and are open to the public as museums. The buildings within Matsusaka Castle were lost in a fire in 1877 and demolished by 1881, leaving only the stone walls, which have become the castle ruins park. At the castle guard's residence, the caretaker explained to us about the history of the residence. We returned to the Ise Kaido and walked to the intersection at Kaibana that leads to Higashi-matsusaka Station.
