============================================================= Ingredients: 3 Cups white Batana 1 Tomato 1/2 large onion 3-4 Green chillies 1 bunch cilantro 2 bunches mint leaves Lemon size tamarind ball 1tsp Turmeric powder 1tsp chaat masala 1 Tbsp Paani poori masala Salt to taste ============================================================= Masala Recipe: Soak the Batana overnight and transfer the soaked peas to a pressure cooker. Add turmeric and pressure cook the peas for 6 whistles( I personally don't like adding salt before boiling the peas as I feel they don't cook completely). Once cooked, the peel gets separated from the peas, you can retain the peel or remove it(I prefer having the peel). Now add salt, chaat masala, raw chopped tomatoes, 1/4th chopped onion, half a bunch of chopped cilantro and 1 bunch of chopped mint leaves. Give it a nice mix and serve piping hot with Paani and Poori. ============================================================= Paani Recipe: Take a bowl full of cold water and soak lemon size tamarind ball in it. Now in a blender jar, take the remaining cilantro, 1 bunch mint leaves and green chillies. Blend this mixture with water to form a puree. Transfer the contents to the water bowl with Tamarind, add Salt, Paani poori Masala and give it a nice mix. Mouth watering Paani is ready to be served with hot batana and crunchy Poori!
