Students of the Guyana Technical Institute (GTI) will now benefit from in-field skills training through a partnership between the school and Worksite Guyana. The recently inked Memorandum of Understanding allows for students to be taken into the field by the construction and trades marketing company to assist contractors while honing their skills. This will also provide much needed job opportunities for the students. The company, co-founded by retired boxer Simeon Hardy is a marketplace for persons in the building and construction field. During an interview with the News Room on Monday, Hardy said in this technology focused era, online marketing has proven to be significantly better for persons to hire well equipped and skilled workers.
