The 2026 iRacing Daytona 500! | Open

As January turns to February, our focus briefly turns from road races to ovals. Fortunately, we don't have far to travel for the greatest stock car oval race of them all- the Daytona 500! As the Daytona 24 is the most popular road racing special event on iRacing, the Daytona 500 is the biggest and most important NASCAR race. Anyone who owns the Next Gen Cup car will be itching to test the waters, making for huge, crazy fields of drivers. As such, the 500 requires skill, toughness, endurance, timing...and a healthy supply of luck. We've done a ton of practice and prep for this year, but will it be enough to earn the favor of the racing gods? The Daytona 500 features some timeslots that use fixed setups, and others that allow setup changes. This will be our attempt at the open setup race. Lots of high speed and high speed crashes inside!
