We captured the first 1 hour of the game with RTX 5090 and 4K monitor (no commentary). This new entry in the franchise is a tactical RPG faithful to the world's most popular TTRPG's ruleset. If you enjoy turn-based strategy and rolling dice, Solasta II is the perfect hardcore modern RPG that will remind you of Baldur's Gate 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2. Description: Solasta II is the upcoming sequel to the acclaimed tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister, developed by Tactical Adventures. It is widely recognized for its strict adherence to tabletop rules and its deep, grid-based tactical combat. Gameplay Features: Initial Content: The Early Access version will include a significant portion of Act I, offering roughly 10–15 hours of gameplay, with a level cap of 4 (set to increase to level 10 for the 1.0 release). SRD 5.2 Ruleset: Solasta II is one of the first major titles to implement the updated 2024 D&D rules (via the SRD 5.2). This includes the new Weapon Mastery system, giving non-casters more tactical depth in combat. Unreal Engine 5: Moving away from an older version of Unity, the sequel uses a new engine to provide much more detailed environments, better lighting (crucial for its "light vs. dark" mechanics), and improved character models. Tactical Depth: It retains the signature verticality of the first game, where positioning on high ground and interacting with the environment (pushing boulders, dropping chandeliers) is key to winning battles. The Land of Neokos: A mana-rich realm currently being corrupted by an ancient, shadowy force led by an enigmatic entity named Shadwyn. The Colwall Siblings: Instead of a fully custom party of strangers, the story follows four adoptive siblings (though you still customize their classes and appearances). This change allows for a more personal, cinematic narrative with a high-profile voice cast including Amelia Tyler (narrator of Baldur's Gate 3) and Ben Starr. Moral Alignment: While the game follows a heroic path, your choices regarding different factions will determine how the world of Neokos evolves. Classes and Races: At the start of Early Access, players can choose from 6 classes (Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Rogue, Sorcerer, and Paladin) and 4 ancestries (Human, Elf, Dwarf, and Halfling). 4-Player Co-op: The game supports full drop-in/drop-out cooperative play from day one. Partially Open World: Unlike the linear maps of the first game, Solasta II features a world map with dynamic events, random encounters, and timed side-quests.
