In the George Floyd video that has sparked an uprising across the nation, the Minneapolis Police Chief calls the officers who stood by while Derek Chauvin knelt on the neck of George Floyd complicit in his killing. Tou Thao and other officers who did not intervene as the man begged for his life, he argued, are just as culpable as Derek Chauvin, the only officer so far who has been arrested in the George Floyd death.
