Walking Tour of Den Bosch, Netherlands [4K, 60fps] | Exploring 's-Hertogenbosch on Foot

Den Bosch was founded in the 12th century by Duke Henry I of Brabant. The city's original name was 's-Hertogenbosch, which translates to "the Duke's forest" in English. The name referred to the forested area where the city was established. While the city is commonly known as Den Bosch, both names are officially recognized. My walking tour starts at the Den Bosch Central Station, a prominent landmark in the city. I walk towards the historic center and reach the Markt, the main square of Den Bosch. From the Markt I turn to the Verwersstraat, the vibrant shopping district, known for its upscale boutiques and art galleries. From the Verwersstraat I walk onto the Korte Putstraat, a bustling street known for its restaurants and nightlife. This is a great place to grab a snack or a drink. From there I continue my tour to the stunning Gothic-style St. John's Cathedral (Sint-Janskathedraal). It's one of the most significant examples of Gothic architecture in the Netherlands. I proceed on Hinthamerstraat and pass the charming Jeroen Boschplein (Jheronimus Bosch Art Center). This square is dedicated to the renowned painter Hieronymus Bosch, who was born in Den Bosch. Finally, I finish my tour at the Binnendieze, a network of picturesque canals. You can take a boat tour to explore the underground waterways and get a unique perspective of the city.
