The video was recorded on August 13, 2023, during the 59th Foundation Anniversary celebration, which brought together current students and alumni of the Sisters of Mary of Banneux in Girlstown, Biga, Silang, Cavite. The Sisters of Mary School (SMS) sometimes abbreviated as (SOM) is a Private Catholic school in the Philippines, located in Silang, Cavite and Metro Cebu. It was founded on August 15, 1985 in Sta. Mesa Manila Philippines and later on it expanded in different areas of Cavite . In 1990, The Sisters of Mary School established its first campus in Talisay City, which is also composed of both campuses for Boystown and Girlstown before they were separated. The Boystown campus was transferred to Minglanilla, Cebu. It consists of four campuses called Boystown and Girlstown located in different areas of Silang, Cavite and Metro Cebu. The Sisters of Mary School refers to a network of educational institutions founded by the religious order known as the Sisters of Mary Congregation. The main focus of these schools is to provide education and vocational training to underprivileged or disadvantaged youth, particularly in developing countries. The Sisters of Mary Congregation was established by Aloysius Schwartz, an American Catholic priest, in the 1960s. He dedicated his life to helping marginalized children and providing them with opportunities to improve their lives through education and skills training. The congregation operates several schools, often referred to as "Boystowns" and "Girlstowns," where young boys and girls are provided with not only academic education but also vocational and technical skills training. The Sisters of Mary School system is known for its holistic approach, offering students not just academic instruction, but also life skills, character development, and spiritual guidance. The aim is to empower these students to break the cycle of poverty and achieve better prospects for themselves and their communities. The schools are typically fully funded by donations and sponsorships from individuals, organizations, and groups around the world who support the mission of providing quality education and training to disadvantaged youth.
