M – Manage (Pray & Budget) First, pray about how God would have you use it, and make a financial budget 1 Corinthians 4:2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” O – Offerings (Tithes & Alms) Second, set apart money for the Lord, and for others Galatians 6:6 “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.” N – Necessities (Living & Hosing) Third, apportion the necessary money for your living and housing expenses 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” I – Investments (Ministries & Missions) Fourth, invest a certain sum of money into kingdom purposes Matthew 6:20 “But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal” E – Encumbrances (Expenses and Debts) Fifth, cover your unexpected expenses and incurred debts Romans 13:8 “Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.” S – Savings (Future Fund & Emergency Fund) Sixth, save up a certain fixed amount for a 3-to-6 month emergency fund (Proverbs 15:6; Psalm 112:3), and also save an amount for known future purchases or events.
