After a promising start to the Papermakers first ever trip to the WIAA Semifinals, Camas ended up losing to #3 O'Dea 21-13 at the Tacoma Dome. Camas appeared to be the better football team for much of the first quarter. The Papermakers defense held O'Dea to a pair of 3 and outs in the opening frame while the offense put together a pair of nice drives.RB Zack Marsahll ran for 51 yards on just 5 carries but would leave the game late in the quarter with a dislocated thumb. An early 2nd quarter 3-0 lead following a Roldan Alconbendas 22 yard field goal quickly slipped away when O'Dea QB Pierre Ledorze hit Taryll Calhoun on a 64 yard touchdown pass that appeared to be thrown to another Irish player. The next O'Dea possession was an 86 yard drive that eat up most just about the rest of the half and was capped off when Ledorze dove in from 1 yard out, pushing past the line on his second effort. Camas found new life early in the 3rd quarter when on the 3rd play of the quarter, QB Tonny Gennaro hit a streaking Jonathan Warner on a 55 yard touchdown pass to cut the Irish lead to 14-10. Warner had lined up at TB next to Gennaro and had a clean release down the seam and was never coveted. The Papermakers got inside the O'Dea 10 soon there after when Gennaro completed a 30 yard pass to WR John Payne. However Camas went backwards from there and had to settle for a 38 yard Alconbendas field goal. With O'Dea still leading by a point at 14-13 they began to eat up the clock. Their drive spilled over into the 4th quarter when RB Jomari Brooks scored from 30 yards out to push the Irish lead to 8 points at 21-13. Camas' final possession was short as the Papermakers wen 3 and out and had to punt the football back to O'Dea, they would never get the ball back. O'Dea held the football for 13:03 of the games final 14:14 never allowing Camas to make a comeback. RB Nate Beasley rushed for 76 yards on 9 carries filling in for the injured Marshall. Gennaro passed for 200 yards and the touchdown to Warner in the 3rd quarter. Warner finished the game with 4 catches for 76 yards. Zach Eagle also had 76 receiving yards on 5 catches, most of which came in the first half when the Papermakers were moving the football with ease. The O'Dea trio of backs Jayshawn Jordan, Jomari Brooks and Tatum Taylor ran for 163 yards on 31 carries. Jordan and Brooks each ran for 68 yards.
