DEVI DURGA WORSHIP STARTED HERE | Garh Jungle, Shyamrupa Mandir & Ichhai Ghosher Deul

Garh Jungle Maa Shyamrupa Mandir and Ichhai Ghosher Deul at Kanksa Forest near Durgapur, Paschim Bardhaman, West Bengal. This is the second episode of our one day tour to #GarhJungle where we visit #ShyamrupaMandir which is an ancient temple and #DeulPark of Gourangapur which is next to Ichhai Ghosher deul located on the banks of Ajay river in #kanksa forest. The Garh Jungle is located in Kanksa-Durgapur forest area which is located next to the Ajay river in Paschim Bardhaman of West Bengal. We started our journey to Garh Jungle from Asansol in the morning. Our team comprised of four people that is me, my brother and two of my friends. It was a refreshing journey as this was our first trip after COVID related lockdowns were lifted. After reaching Durgapur we took a left turn at Muchipara More to the road which leads towards Ajay river. The road was amazing with trees on either side and the forest looked quite dense. After traveling for about 12 km on this road we now took a turn to our right on a small country road which would lead us into the Jungle towards our destination. Then we continued to travel for about 5 KM inside the jungle and reached the Garh Jungle Maharshi Medhashram. Our next stop was Shyamrupa Mandir which is about 500 meters away. The place was thrilling as it's located inside a dense forest. Very few people visit these temples. This added to our experience as a lot of people inside this place would ruin the ambience and feel of this mystic place. We spent quite a lot of time exploring the area, visiting all the temples and speaking to some locals and learnt some more history of the place. Our final destination was Gourangapur where we visited Ichhai Ghosher Deul and Deul Park located right next to the Ajay river.
