Roaring River Cave

On our second family outing in Jamaica we go to the Roaring River Park and Cave!!! After a nice drive through the country side, taking in the scenery and animals, we arrive the Roaring River Park. We link up with my friend and guide Colin. He took us on a tour of the area pointing out the flowers and plants and giving us a rich history lesson. Colin is a local to the community, so he grew up in the area and is not a great tour guide. After we went to the caves and took in all the different formations and local history of it. It was great to be back here; the caves system is quite large and bathing in the cold stream in the caves is always excellent. There are different compartments and we visited all. Colin even out in a show by diving in the Blue Hole in the caves. We then came out the cave sand hiked down to the river by a bridge, so we can take a bath in the cool fresh river water. The bridge is where the locals come to hang out and my son took the chance to jump into the water. Having seen both the river and cave, we drove back to Montego Bay and decided to stop at Dead End beach to take a dip as it was still early.
