Unbelievable! Megger hands over his 1111th cable test van to the customer. Let's celebrate

1.451 / 5.000 The concept of the cable test van was born in the early 1970s. Our product manager Henning Oetjen describes it as a typical German product. Out of thoroughness, German customers wanted to be prepared for everything and had devices built into a vehicle for all eventualities. In other countries, people were already satisfied with less - also out of thrift. For a long time we built measuring vans based on this concept under the name Klassik. In the mid-1990s, cable diagnostics and testing found its way into test vans, but even then operation was still complex and consisted of many switches and buttons. With the Centrix series, the operating concept changed from the ground up, the systems were integrated and many of the switches and buttons disappeared. These and many other innovations are the reason why we have been able to hand over 1,111 Centrix measurement vehicles to our customers to date. But after more than 50 years it is far from over, in the future the systems should have an even simpler and more understandable operating concept that will also allow sporadic users of the technology to achieve usable results. Thanks to digital technology, the systems will be able to diagnose their own condition and identify errors.
