Salento is home to the world's tallest palm trees and visiting the Cocora Valley was one of the highlights of my trip to Colombia 🇨🇴🌴 Day 1: I started the day with a walk to the mirador in Salento before taking a day trip to Filandia. I explored the colourful town, wandered the streets and bought locally produced coffee beans. Day 2: I visited the Cocoa Valley and viewpoints overlooking the towering wax palm trees - the tallest palm trees in the world. I then joined a coffee tour to learn how coffee is grown in Colombia, visited a chocolate factory to try a brownie and explored a small local market in the town square.
