Throughout the Second World War, there were many people who became part of the deadliest conflict in History. One woman who was a nurse before the conflict but became one of the most feared spies of World War 2 was Nancy Wake, who the Gestapo nicknamed 'The White Mouse.' She helped many Allied Airmen and Soldiers escape back to England, but then she was recruited for SOE and she served as a Spy working with the French Resistance. But during her work she was a fierce undercover agent, and she even killed an SS sentry and guard with her bare hands. During a raid on a gun factory, Nancy Wake attacked an SS officer who had discovered the group and she did this by one sharp strike to the throat, killing him immediately. She was also unafraid to order executions, as she discovered and interrogated a German female spy and she was willing to execute her herself, which shocked the French resistance fighters. She was an incredibly talented spy, and her actions although deadly at times managed to save dozens of lives during the Second World War.
