Cred 373-375: Visting Efteling for the first time in 20 years to ride Baron 1898 and other Rollercoasters, at their winter opening, Netherlands Jan 2025. First ride of the day was Max & Moritz. This is a dualling family coaster built by Mack rides in 2020. It is quite unique as both trains race in opposite directions. They are both powered so do not count as 'true' creds. The next ride was the parks signature B&M dive rollercoaster 'Baron 1898', built in 2015. It is very smooth with excellent theming. Next was a re-ride on 'Python'. This is the parks Double Loop Corkscrew built by Vekoma in 1981. It is an iconic ride and had a full refurbishment in 2018 which resulted in new sections of track being installed with new trains. Next was the amazing duel wooden coaster 'Joris en de Draak' built in 2010 by Great Coasters International (GCI). It had many great moments of air time and gave 2 creds for the individual 'fire' and 'water' sides. Once we rode these, we were able to try out some of the many other rides and attractions including the new 'Danse Macabre' experience. By this time it was getting dark, but due to the late opening we were able to ride them all again in the dark which was awesome. A fantastic day was topped off by a water fountain show, then a trip on the ferry the following day before heading back to the UK on 24/01/25.
