This trailer is fan made Scarface is an 80's classic and a remake from the original black and white film directed by Howard Hawks and produced by Howard Hughes. Al Pacino plays a Cuban immigrant exiled from Fidel Castro amongst many other criminals who then enters the world of drug trafficking to eventually become a kingpin. What I found interesting with this film is the theme of the American Dream which is achieved by the main character of the story but through that of ruthless actions. Once there, life isn't what it seems and the very idea of success can become a form of self destruction. A rise and fall gangster film that deals with the illusion of success and the material world but through that of a criminal yet at the same time, relatable to anyone in their day-to-day life with the exception of these particular/extreme circumstances which are given on a fantastic level. There are a few actors I've watched on the screen where I forget who they are and believe the characters they become. This is one of them where I forget Al Pacino and only see Tony Montana and the mark of a gifted actor. A wild character who is vicious yet determined, tough, charismatic and funny at times. This is definitely one of his standout performances throughout his career and one of the most popular next to The Godfather. Many of us have seen this film but it's always fun to go back to watch them because they're never meant to be watched only once and if you haven't, please do so because it is one of the best films ever made.
