This is Tana Toraja. Located in the heart of Sulawesi, Indonesia, Tana Toraja is known for its traditional architecture, breathtaking scenery, and unique death rituals. During our stay in Toraja, we would often see water buffaloes grazing in the rice fields as we zoomed by on our motorbike. Water buffaloes are special to the Torajan people. They are used for ritual sacrifice as well as status symbols. Join us as we explore a crazy buffalo auction where there seemed to be more buffaloes than humans! Also, later I got to participate in moving one of the wooden coffins in a traditional Torajan funeral (our second time at a funeral!)
