Just for fun, using Temp Queen (synthetic QMP) to route a swarm on the wing to land right where I want them. These are older pheromone noodles, around 24 months in the fridge. Now, what to do with these honey bees? You can transport them to another apiary and any landing board you put them on, they will go in. Want to start off with a new queen that you have received in the mail? These can serve as a starter community. New honey bees will also drift over and add to their numbers. When adding them to another colony, you must remove the "temp queen" noodles to remove that competing pheromone. I've also tried... with "some" success, just walking them over and shaking them off the stick on a landing board of a colony that could use some reinforcement (highly variable results).
