12News Chief Meteorologist Patrick Vaughn is in the Weather Impact Center to update you on Friday's weather and what's coming up for Southeast Texas. Southeast Texas is warming up this weekend as a warm front moves north from the Gulf of Mexico, bringing temperatures into the 70s across much of the region. MORE: https://www.12newsnow.com/weather The warmer conditions will continue through Saturday and Sunday, with overnight lows tonight in the upper 50s to around 60. However, a cold front arriving before daybreak Sunday will bring showers and cause temperatures to drop sharply on Monday. The cold snap is expected to be brief. Temperatures will rebound by Tuesday, with highs returning to the mid-70s by Thursday. For the next few days, residents should prepare for warm, humid conditions with isolated showers possible, then bundle up for one night of frost early next week before the return of more springlike weather. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Text APP to 409-838-1212 to download our free app and receive breaking news notifications.
