In this test, the candidate was given a serious fault for failing to check their mirrors before changing speed when turning into a junction on the left where they stopped to give way to pedestrians. The following ambulance was apparently severely impacted by this according to the examiner. The rearview camera doesn't seem to show this too well. But still, I don't think it was necessary or wise to stop to give way to the pedestrians in this instance. Firstly, they weren't actually at the junction when beginning to turn, and secondly, it was a 40MPH road so to stop suddenly when turning could have resulted in an accident.
