(28 Jan 2026) ASSOCIATED PRESS Paris - 28 January 2026 1. Various Zuhair Murad runway show 2. Various, show finale 3. Wide shot Zuhair Murad takes bow AP VIDEO SHOT BY: Adam Egan STORYLINE: Zuhair Murad, the Lebanese couturier famed for red-carpet, bridal and evening gowns drenched in intricate embroidery and handwork, leaned hard into his signature for his couture show in Paris, Wednesday — then gave it a sharper twist of Arabia. It was archetypal couture in places: sculpted gowns with ribbed, almost architectural build; unapologetic mermaid silhouettes; blush satins and liquid silks that caught the light like they’d been poured on. The beauty styling played along — slicked-back hair dusted with pearls like glamorous morning dew — and the overall effect was less “fairytale” than “imperial,” a high-gloss pageant of control, curve and craft. But Murad’s real flex was the density: embellishments and embroideries everywhere, the surface never allowed to go quiet. Collars swept down with a regal drag; bodices looked engineered, then jeweled; one standout read like a chandelier translated into a dress — not metaphorically, but almost literally, with ornament hanging and sparkling as if it had been wired for light. It’s more-is-more couture with no apology and no break in the spell: maximalism made polished, the kind of collection that doesn’t chase novelty so much as perfects a house code — the fantasy of a woman arriving, fully lit, already the event. =========================================================== Clients are reminded to adhere to all listed restrictions and to check the terms of their licence agreements.
