A throwback to our legendary 1994 church trip to Indianapolis — the one where the journey somehow became the main event. With more people than one vehicle could reasonably hold, we formed a full‑blown caravan and armed ourselves with walkie‑talkies like we were running a top‑secret mission. Traffic didn’t slow us down; it entertained us. Every lane change felt like a coordinated maneuver, every wrong turn became a group discussion, and every crackle of the walkie‑talkie brought another round of laughter. After conquering the road, we hit the Speedway, soaked up the sights, and then turned the hotel into our own recreation center. Volleyball, ping‑pong, and enough friendly competition to qualify as a church‑sanctioned sporting event. Kathy Camp joined the fun, and the fellowship was nonstop. By the time we made it to the football game the next day, we’d already had enough excitement to fill a whole weekend.
