The game was published by Midway Games for PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The PC version was published by Encore in North America and by Zoo Digital Publishing in Europe. In North America, the game was released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in March 2004, and for PC in June of the same year. In Europe, it was released for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox in May, and for PC in July. A port was also planned for the GameCube, but was cancelled. In 2017, the game was released on GOG.com by Warner Bros. The Suffering! My experience with this game was interesting. It was one of the many games my brother bought when I was a kid that I played at midnight when my parents were asleep. It scared the crap out of me then but i thought it was such a cool game. Now its not so scary at all, but holds up as a well crafted story and surprisingly still fun gameplay. Lots of enemy types to blast with guns and tear apart as a mutant transformed Mr. Hyde style monster man.
