Dirt is ripped up with the rakes of the grader’s ripping teeth, and pushed in place with the machinery. It was a successful day, some long hours on the equipment but all of the backfill and rough grading was completed. It’s a good feeling to see all of the dirt covering the foundations. The next step after some settling time is allowed for the backfill, is to bring topsoil in and plant the lawn and gravel the driveway. This will likely be a project for about a year down the road.
