INTO THE WILD EP 8: RISE ABOVE MY CIRCUMSTANCES In this series we will be looking at AMAZING animals and the Biblical truths they can help us learn! Our Series Verse is: PSALM 150:6 "LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD." Our BIG ANSWER this week is: I CAN RISE ABOVE MY CIRCUMSTANCES. Our MEMORY VERSE this week is: Isaiah 40:31 “Those who wait upon the lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” THREE THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM THE EAGLE: 1. WAIT -We have to spend time with God and desire the plans that he has for us above the plans we have for ourselves. -If we operate in God's timing we can go much farther than we can on our own. 2. LAUNCH -It takes FAITH to follow what God has for us. -He leads us in steps we can take. --Little By Little. -God’s plans and timing doesn’t always make sense to us, but we have to trust that his plans are good for us. 3. SOAR ABOVE -When the storms of life come upon us, we, too, can rise above them. -We can lift ourselves above trouble by setting our minds and our hearts toward God. -The storms do not have to overcome us any more than they overcome the eagle. -2 Corinthians 4:17 “For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.” CHALLENGE: This week I want to challenge you to be like the EAGLE. WAIT on God’s timing; LAUNCH into all that God has for you in faith that he will be with you and SOAR ABOVE the obstacles or storms that come with the help of God’s strength. Remember “YOU CAN RISE ABOVE YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES.”
