The climb to Adam’s Peak is more than a hike—it is a pilgrimage through history, faith, and breathtaking landscapes. Rising 2,243 metres above central Sri Lanka, this sacred mountain is crowned by the legendary Sri Pada, the “sacred footprint,” a symbol that has inspired devotion for centuries. Six trails lead to the summit, each with its own rhythm and story. The bustling Hatton–Nallathanni and Ratnapura–Palabaddala routes are alive with tea shops, lanterns, and fellow travelers. Yet, the Kuruwita–Erathna Route offers something different: solitude, serenity, and the quiet beauty of forested paths and murmuring streams. Though longer and more demanding, it rewards those who walk it with a deeper connection to the mountain’s spirit. Step by step, thousands of stone stairs carry pilgrims through mist‑laden forests, illuminated by strings of lights during the pilgrimage season. Families, friends, and strangers climb together, sharing laughter, chants, and cups of tea along the way. For this journey, we chose the Kuruwita–Erathna Route—a path less traveled, but rich in natural wonder and tranquility. Let’s walk together and discover the magic of Adam’s Peak.
