#acrylicpouring #fluidart #bloomswipe #abstract #swipe Hi guys, welcome to my art channel and thanks for being here ❤️ Today I am experimenting so just using a 10 x 12'' canvas I know many artists are creating an ombre background for their work, I've seen Rinske Douna and Sarah Mack create some gorgeous pieces. Rinske with her Dutch Pours and Sarah created her Ninja Swipe over it. I wanted to try it using Shelee's Bloom recipe and create a more abstract swipe to suit the background. Background: Mont Marte Lamp Black and Mont Marte Chinese White, used straight from the tube no water or medium added. This was allowed to dry for 24 hours. Pillow: Taubmans Doors & Trims Gloss in Neutral (this is a water based paint that is untinted. In some countries it is called Deep Base). This, however, was way too thick. I didn't stir it and I should have thinned it with some water as had real issues getting it to actually move on the canvas! I also had difficulty swiping! So learn from my mistakes don't leave it anywhere near as thick as I did! Colours: TLP Lakeside TLP Athena TLP pigments, silicone stir sticks and silicone pour mats can be purchased from https://fluid-art.co/ Atelier Dioxazine Purple My pigments and tube paints are mixed with untinted (neutral) gloss house paint (water based) and Jo Sonja gloss varnish. In some countries you may need 'Deep Base' you're looking for one without any (or a very small amount) of titanium white, or it will make your colours pastel. Please see video #92 for how I mix my colours (both pigments and tubes). • (92) How I Mix My Paints For Bloomswipes ~... Cell Activators: Atelier Rich Gold Atelier Tinting Pearl White mixed with a healthy dollop of Atelier Titanium White These were mixed ONLY with Australian Floetrol (approx 2 - 2.5 parts to 1 part of acrylic paint). I have a tip jar, it's definitely not expected, but if you'd like to tip any small amount would be greatly appreciated and will go towards buying more paint supplies. Thanks in advance it's: paypal.me/Nikidfluidart My lazy susan is glass and 20'' which was purchased from Coles supermarket, they can also be sourced from variety/dollar stores and on Amazon. The heavier the spinner, the easier it will spin, I'd also suggest you get the largest one you can so you can easily use it for larger substrates too. I have a 24'' (60cm) wood round placed on top of my lazy susan. My metal spatulas are artist palette knives, they can all be purchased from https://fluid-art.co/ For art sales contact me on: [email protected] Find me on Instagram: / nikid.art Find me on Facebook: / nikidfluidart Thank you so much for watching, please like, share and please subscribe, it's free.
