Fireworks and a HUGE bonfire at Thorney Island Sailing Club

As a Canadian who calls UK home there is a new (to me) holiday I have come to love, Bonfire night. It was a perfect evening and we attended our dinghy sailing clubs bonfire night celebration. I had volunteer duty as so missed the lighting of the bonfire as I was in the kitchen making sure everyone got their food. I made it outside in time for the fireworks though. I was so impressed we are a small club and I was expecting a few medium sized fireworks. I was wrong!! It was an impressive display that went on for over 30 minutes. The best bit? You tell me! I hoewever lovel the unseen things that make this display possible, the volunteer who set it up, sett of the fireworks, and those who returned the following day to pick up any remaining nails and metal from the bonfire to keep this speical place beautiful.
