Diu is a small island 🏝️, and a part of Daman and Diu UT in the western part of India. Diu was a Portuguese colony from early 16th century to 1961. Diu fort was built by the Portuguese in 1535, which now is a main tourist attraction on the island. Most of the people on island are either fishermen or work on the cargo ships. There’s a small village of fishermen on the coast , the entire population of this village survives on fishing.
