Foxtron, the automotive brand of IT giant Foxconn, known for manufacturing popular electronic devices like Apple’s iPhone, is stepping further into the automotive world. Following the unveiling of the Model B and Model C in previous years, Foxtron is set to reveal its latest creation, the Model D, in 2024. This new maxi-MPV, designed by the renowned Pininfarina, promises to offer a flexible platform for small and medium-sized manufacturers. The goal behind the Foxtron Model D, similar to its predecessors, is to deliver a large vehicle platform that can be purchased and customized by other automakers. This approach helps reduce design and production costs for companies looking to enter the electric vehicle market. The Model D stands out with its substantial dimensions, measuring almost 5.20 meters in length, 1.80 meters in height, and 2 meters in width. Its wheelbase of 3.20 meters allows for a spacious and luxurious cabin, which is a major highlight of this vehicle. The exterior design, developed by Pininfarina, features angular, monolithic-inspired lines. Foxtron’s signature headlight design makes a return, paired with newly designed rear lights that maintain the brand’s aesthetic. Aerodynamic features, like a slit directing airflow from the grille to the windshield, enhance the vehicle's efficiency despite its large size. Inside, the Foxtron Model D offers a high-end, passenger-focused experience. Its cabin, reminiscent of a luxury private jet, is fitted with light-colored leather upholstery and seating designed for long journeys. With seating for seven, including adjustable armchairs in the first and second rows, passengers can enjoy a first-class experience. The second-row seats, equipped with leg rests, can nearly fully recline. Foxtron has teased a dual-motor setup with an 800-volt architecture, delivering up to 650 horsepower, a 110-kilowatt-hour battery, and a range of approximately 410 miles. Equipped with rear-wheel steering, this platform aims to balance city maneuverability with long-distance comfort.
