So first things first, I am proud to announce my partnership with Hobbywing. They have been a pretty major sponsor for me for about a year, but nothing was ever really official. Now I can proudly say I am a Team HobbyWing International pilot. These guys make some of the best electronics in the business. I've been flying their 40a stack for about a year now, love the thing, and now we have its big brother. All I can say is, if you liked the 40a escs, these are even better. As well as the performance of their propeller. They are super solid, If you haven't tried their propeller, definitely check them out. The 5150 are wonderful! I wouldn't call this a review, because its not. Its an impressions of their pre-production models that I have had the honor to test and play with. Of the 4 units that I have, they all work perfectly still. One on my racer has gone through probably 300 batteries of racing and practice. Of those hundreds of packs, you can probably guess that I have crashed a some. Still working super strong. One of the stacks is on my mountain cruiser build, that's 2408 2200kv motors running 6050x3 props. So that's a super amphungry setup. Still running solid. A 3rd unit I have on my freestyle quad. Its gone up countless mountains, got stuck in trees, flown while its snowing and raining. Not a single hiccup. The 4th stack has been a tester, moved around a half dozen or so quads to make sure it works with different motor combinations and whatnot. I can report that it works very well on all of the setups that I tried. If you're looking for a good, easy to use FC and 4 in 1 ESC combo, this would be my recommendation. Not because they sponsor me, but because its a great piece of kit.
