Micro Seiki RX-1500 “Full Choice” vacuum hold-down turntable demo [SOLD]

[SOLD] This magnificent turntable from Micro Seiki is offered for sale on eBay and USAudioMart.com. This is an upgraded RX-1500 model called the “Full Choice Player”. Two platters are included, the basic alloy platter seen in most 1500s, plus a much heavier gunmetal bronze platter. Both platters are designed to be used with the included RP-1090 vacuum pump to pull LPs down tight onto the platter to prevent buzzing and resonance. There is one set of silicone vacuum gaskets included that can, with great care, be transferred between the two platters. These are the two brown rings seen on the top surface of the bronze platter. Since the 1500 was designed for the Japanese market, it requires 100 VAC rather than 117 to 120 VAC used in the USA. But, no matter, because I will include a 500W step-down transformer that converts 120 VAC to 100VAC. Condition is truly excellent with paint fully intact. The decorative plastic dust over that fits on top of the motor unit is in excellent condition, unlike most. The gunmetal bronze platter could probably use a more extensive polishing effort with Brasso or similar than I gave it, but it still looks good as-is. As can be seen in this demo video, the table does work and the vacuum is strong. That said, as with all vintage electronics that I sell, I cannot guarantee it due to its age. But I stand on my positive reputation. No tonearm, cartridge or arm boards are included. These are readily available on-line because all of the larger Micro Seiki tables use the same arm boards.
