This one hit differently… An away day without my lad Charlie, and honestly — it felt like I’d left my right arm at home. Solo mission to the Riverside Stadium for a midweek clash between Middlesbrough and Coventry City — a long old trek on a Tuesday night, but we made it! First impressions? The Riverside is a cracking ground. I even tried my first ever Parmo — chicken, cheese, and heartburn all in one. Class. On the pitch, Coventry came out flying! Ellis Sims and Liam Kitchin had us 2-1 up by half-time, with Boro pulling one back through Whittaker. Second half… chaos. Middlesbrough equalised thanks to a Bobby Thomas own goal (sorry Bob lad), but he made up for it later! Kitchin smashed one in on 85’, and a minute later Sims bagged again to seal a 4-2 win. Absolute limbs everywhere! Massive respect to the Middlesbrough fans — loud, proud, and proper northern. And of course… we couldn’t miss her — the Woman in White, front row, giving it everything to the Coventry fans.
