Each of the 16 Jungian Personality Types can come in 3 different "flavors", also called subtypes. The three subtypes are based on the first or second function, or no function. The first subtype represents the "classic" extrovert or introvert. The second subtype represents the "ambivert". The no subtype represents the standard personality type. This advanced video explains the detailed differences between the subtypes by using ESFP and ISFP (MBTI) / SEE and ESI (Socionics) as examples. Each subtype comes with a unique set of functional strengths, weaknesses, challenges and life purposes. Once you know your subtype or the subtype of others, you can make more precise typings and discover what you need to do to embrace your personality type to its fullest.
