She published works that illuminated the performance of Debussy’s music through the singer Jane Bathori, spending time in her beloved Paris to complete her research. Perhaps most importantly, many of you gathered here tonight would probably say that Linda had a profound influence on your life through her inspired music-making and dedicated teaching. Or perhaps it was her collegiate example of excellence in all aspects of academic life. It is fitting that we celebrate Linda with the music, students, and friends that she cherished throughout her time with us, sharing stories, music and laughter that connects us to the memories of our cherished colleague, teacher, musician, and friend."
