Cruise News Update – March 10, 2026 There are several important updates happening with Princess Cruises that could affect your future cruise planning. First, Princess has increased the automatic service charge on drinks and onboard purchases from 18% to 20%, bringing them in line with some other cruise lines. There are also changes affecting Princess Plus and Premier packages, including updates to pricing and what is included. Another change many cruisers may notice is the Medallion shipping cost, which has now increased to $20 if you want it sent to your home before your cruise. We also have an update about the popular cruise ship band Asian Soul and where they will now be performing. And finally, there is a real-time update from the Sun Princess transatlantic sailing, where the captain increased speed to reach port early due to several onboard medical emergencies requiring evacuation.
