UI Health Care LGBTQ+ Clinic Fund | One Day for Iowa

Meet Dr. Katie Imborik, MD, clinical professor and physician in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and co-founder of the UI Health Care LGBTQ+ Clinic. The clinic team was the first in the state to offer a medical home for people who identify as LGBTQ+ and has grown significantly since seeing its first patients 14 years ago. This multidisciplinary team spans seven departments and has served more than 4,000 unique patients across multiple UI Health Care facilities. In addition to a strong primary care presence, the team includes surgeons and specialists who provide expert gender-affirming care, procedures, and surgeries not available elsewhere in the state.
