SHOE REVIEWS: https://thatfitfriend.com SHOE STORE: https://shop.thatfitfriend.com FYI: Heel-to-Toe Drop: 19mm (.75 inches) & retail price is $200 The STRIKE MVMNT Ez Lifter has been one of the "cooler" weightlifting shoes I've been training in and testing as of late. This model has been unique in the sense that it doesn't have the traditional TPU midsole that has become a norm in most lifters. The TPU works great, but I feel like there hasn't been a weightlifting shoe that's tried to re-imagine this type of shoe's construction in a minute. From the one piece suede upper, to the high-density EVA midsole, to the removable strap, this model is pretty interesting. A few things that I've enjoyed about this shoe so far include, 1) the forefoot has a nice flex to it and doesn't have a ton of toe spring, 2) the toe box is decently wide for toe splay, and 3) they look sick and the removable strap is a nice touch. Will this model be for everyone? I actually don't think so despite really liking them. I feel like lifters who enjoy blockier weightlifting shoes with heavier TPU midsoles won't jive perfectly with this model. It's similar to how some lifters love the flexibility of the Power G 380 while others prefer heavier models like the Legacy Lifter and Romaleos. All-in-all, this shoe has been cool and I'm stoked to continue testing them.
