In this circa 1992 satsang at Siddhdata Ashram, Guru Maharaj teaches that human life is extremely precious yet often wasted in material pursuits and forgetfulness of the Divine. Using the example of a bee trapped inside a lotus that is eventually destroyed by an elephant, he explains how people remain absorbed in worldly pleasures, assuming they will always have time tomorrow, while death can arrive unexpectedly. He emphasizes that while people carefully prepare for ordinary journeys in life, they rarely prepare for the inevitable journey after death. The discourse reminds devotees that the soul has passed through millions of births and that this rare human birth is an opportunity to remember God, practice Naam Smaran, and perform actions pleasing to the Divine. The central message is that worldly achievements cannot accompany the soul after death—only spiritual effort, devotion, and remembrance of Narayan prepare the soul for its ultimate destination.
