Unexpected Mountain Flight through the Winter Alps to Bolzano, Italy (LIPB)

A mountain flight from Genderkingen (EDMQ) in Germany through the snow covered, winter Alps to Bolzano (LIPB) in Italy. The original intent was to fly to St. Johann in Tirol (LOWJ) in Austria. However, midflight I received a message that one of the club's airplanes had problems starting in Bolzano and was asked for a pick up of the stranded pilots. So I changed my plans on the go and thanks to Langen Information, I was able to file an air-filed flight plan (AFIL) to Bolzano as required by the Italian ATC. This was a first for me, and you can sense in my voice that I am a bit overwhelmed. In the video, you can hear the procedure for opening the AFIL and you can enjoy the flight over Innsbruck, Brenner and then to Bolzano through the winter scenery and snow covered mountains. The flight was carried in D-ETKJ, a Cessna 172 with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit. You can't see much of the displays because of the awesome weather and the direct sunshine while flying south.
