Today was the last day of our kandulu (red gram) harvest, and this vlog captures the final hours in the field. In this video, you will see how we make kandikuppalu, where the harvested plants are gathered and sun-dried properly before processing. Then the crop is put into a machine that separates the outer shells and gives us kandulu (red gram seeds). You’ll also see how the seeds are packed into basthalu (sacks) and how kandipottu is collected to feed cattle.. For the past 30 days we’ve been harvesting, and today was the final work of this season. It was a day filled with hard work, good food, and meaningful moments with the people who made this harvest possible. This vlog is a small glimpse of real village life and farming traditions.
